Hi, I want to redesign my current layout of our irrigation system. It was is very poorly done 25 ears ago I presume by drunk guys I presume. Long story short, I have a 120x45 foot rectangle. I'd prefer to have heads around perimeter only. In theory it can be done with my 45 psi 10 gpm source using Rain Bird 5000 rotors with a 4.0 nozzle. The 4.0 nozzle radius is 42 feet at 4.0 gal/min. I would have a rotor in each corner and then two rotors between corners on the long side. total is 8 rotors. Two per zone. My original design was 25 foot radius with heads around perimeter and down the middle but that would be more zones and twice as many heads! Am I being a little too optimistic on this new 45 foot perimeter only design?
