First make sure there is a leaf node --place where a leaf grew-right above the cut end and don't try to root too big a piece. The ideal is a 4 or 5 inch cutting. Remove all the leaves to the top 3 or4 leaves. Fill a very small pot with damp soil--I use the 4 hole pack like you buy plants in. You want the soil moist but not too wet. Poke a hole in the soil, dip in rooting hormone if you have it and put in the hole and cover it in. Place in a warm place with light. Placed on a heating mat is good because it keeps the soil from getting too cool and fungus away.

If this is Your first time with geraniums don't get over zealous with the water. Geraniums like to dry out between waterings

Thanks. Waiting for a reply, I just stuck them in a cup of water and it looks like they might already be getting the start of some roots. I don't have any rooting hormone, just some root enhancement powder. Don't know if it's the same.

Maybe I'll do one with and one without as an experiment.
