backsplash recommendations?

Need help choosing a backsplash for the basement of our new build! Do you have recommendations of something you think would look nice?

I would use a very simple subway tile taken from the lightest color in your countertop. You have a lot of variation between the counters and the stacked stone so keep the back splash simple. Since this is a basement, consider a mirror for the backsplash.

Here are a few more pictures of the countertop, the stone on the back of the bar, and the floor. Brushed nickel handles will also be added to the cabinets.

Again, very basic tile. You have a lot of "busy" things going on in the room.

Thanks for you help! We really love how everything in this room looks so far, but are not sure what direction to take for the backsplash! If you have any advice to help us, that would be great!

calidesign above gave you good direction.

I wouldn't do mirror tho.

Go shopping for tile, and bring some samples and see how they look in your lighting etc.

You could always post them here.

In this space, I wouldn’t do a backsplash at all, just paint. I think a tile of any kind will distract from your other elements. If you really want something there, I’d use a slab of the counter material.

We recommend a simple subway tile, perhaps in the lightest color in the countertop. Maybe white?

Depends on usage: extra/bonus room ? Or full time basement dweller with living quarters? I'd make it a little more eye catching if it's bonus space for fun. Red glossy ceramic tile. Basements are never going to feel like main floor no matter what you do....this is a space to push the envelope and don't be so timid. Can't think of anything quite as dull as white subway tile Here.
