Was the coir thoroughly wetted?

Yes. Maybe I need to water it cause it feel a bit dry.

The medium needs to be moist.

Coir isn't a very good medium for propagation because it usually contains soluble salt levels from on the high side to very high. Soluble salts in the soil solution limits a cutting's ability to take up water. Too, coir loses its loft very quickly, especially when watered from above, and cuttings need plenty of oxygen in the root zone. Finally, coir alone will support several inches of perched water. If the cutting is stuck deep enough that the basal end is submerged in the perched water table, chances the cutting striking plummet.

Outside in sun? or shade? Sun would cook it like spinach. Looks like a maple? Those are extremely difficult from cuttings.
