I hardly hear of this rose spoken of but in my xeric garden in a silty soil in East Nashville it shines! 5’x5’ and 4 years old

I'm not an enthusiastic fan of singles, but every so often one impresses me - Dainty Bess for example, and Mrs Oakley Fisher for another. Add a rose that is almost a single, Jacqueline du Pré.

This one is lovely. Certainly it could be added to my short list.

Stephanie, I do not detect much of a fragrance.... sorry to say.

I failed to mention before the beauty of its slender buds...I think this is from the rugosa in its breeding if I am not mistaken.

It does blackspot in Florida. Otherwise a good rose.

I realize this is an old post, but I am wondering about hardiness. Anyone growing Flamingo in a cold zone?

This is one I have planted and later removed because it should check the boxes for me but unfortunately both the proportionately oversize petals and the thin stems produce a drooping or floppy aspect.
