WOW. This is not your typical cookie cutter bathroom with builder grade fixtures. It is totally over the top. I love it! I am sure you have spent a lot of time and money creating this space. It looks fantastic! I took a peek at your idea books and saw the kitchen. Can you post your other spaces? I am sure your home is fantastic!

What waterproofing system was used?

Love all the tile. So interesting and pretty.

Wow! So unique and stunning! Amazing transformation.

The tiles are painted with ceramic paint and fired at 890 C degrees, the pict-ures I painted myself.
I do not know what you meaning with the water proofing system .
I bought the sanitary equipment directly from the Chinese, I am living here in Switzerland. (My english isn't so well, excuse me).

Dear arch13 :I do not know how I can answer directly: Thank you very much for your nice comment. Yes our tile setters told me, in hole his life he never had a so difficulty work..........but he got it..... and after a long time working: he made holidays with his wife on the Maledives with our money....I designed it myselv and then the lile setters came to our house: When he saw all the tiles and my designs, he told me "I never shall make that" and then he was running out from our house. But after 2 weeks he told me , "o.k."

So, in 2 years I shall make our bathroom in the 3rd floor, and I hope that he shall come again....

I love that you went for it. It is a work of art. And that you appreciate the light qualities and ever changing look due to the light refraction/reflection and control.. I love light (as a photographer you learn to admire its endless energy, delivered so quietly with so much impact) You will have people for years talking about this bathroom, wanting to see it, show it, etc. Kudos!

Now that is a glam bathroom, love it! I would smile inside and out when walking into this artwork.

That's one of the biggest transformations I've seen so far. It takes courage to go this route. That much color and pattern would scare most people. I applaud you for such daring. Personally I LOVE it! One of the best projects I've seen on Houzz!

Every time I entered the shower room, before it was renovated, I was almost claustrophobic. The ghastly tiles caused that you quickly left this room ....

I collected different tiles for 2 years that I liked. At the shower I knew from the beginning how I wanted them.

I painted the tile pictures, also the tiles with the golden French lily.

At first I tried to combine suitable colors, then I tried to get a calm and harmony in the order of the tiles ... With so many colors and variety, the walls should still radiate peace ...

At the beginning of this project, there were also some friends who were very skeptical, I understand that very well. Secretly, I was afraid that everyone said I was crazy.

Through the tiles covered with gold leaf, the shower room is now reflected in itself. It absorbs the new light every day, reflects it on the tiles, and glitters like a treasure chest. I stand in the room, I see new pictures again and again, it is as if the room had several rooms. The space expands visually through the many different images and the glittering gold. The room seems to have become much larger.

At the beginning of this project, our kids were not enthusiastic about my idea. When the room was finished, however, our daughter secretly took pictures of the room and showed it to her friends and lecturers ...

In about 3 years we will make a bath room (with bath) on the 3rd floor again ... I'm looking forward to it ..........it is for me wonderful.. it is like I would paint a new picture .
