Spring Fling 2019, Aftermath

Was waiting for someone to start this, DAWN, or BRUCE. . . First, will just try to post photos. I could have had hysterical captions for all. . . and may on FB, but will let the photos speak for themselves here. XOXOXO to all those who were there today and all those who weren't.

Thanks for starting this thread! Houzz was kicking my tail trying to get it going.

I don’t think I’ve ever attended a SF without taking pictures, but it happened today!

It seemed to, indeed. I thought I was the ONLY one taking pics. . . and that's fine. I liked the ones I came out with. . . will continue. May have repeats, just bear with me.

Thank you Nancy for posting all the photos.

Thank you Bruce for organizing this.

Thanks to all who attended and participated.

Thank you, Kim, for being the special surprise guest.

We missed all of you who could not be there with us today, and remain grateful for your friendship and for sharing the gardening journey with us.

Thanks, everyone, for the food, friendship, fellowship, love, laughter and plants.

I thought the pavilion at the lake was a wonderful place to have the Spring Fling this year, and I'm glad Ken and Paula got to attend and relax a bit after hosting for the previous decade.

I know we all love seeing each other and spending time together, but honestly, isn't the best part simply all of the adorable children? It is so awesome to watch them grow up.

Some day we all will look back and laugh at the misadventures leading up to today's gathering (I'll omit the names): the cornbread fire that did not occur, the escaped dogs, the GPS that needs a GPS to guide it, the electric razor that quit after one leg, the nail in the tire, the endless loops seemingly all of us made before finally finding the right pavilion, and the state park whose actual road names in the park did not correlate to the road names on the map. If that's not enough adventure for one day, then I don't know what else we need.

    I LUB you guys!!

Drive home was smooth. Showered and all tucked in. Love you all and I cant wait until next time.

So glad you made it home safely, Kim. Maybe by this time next year you'll be living closer to us and we'll be able to see you more often. I was concerned about those thunderstorms in west Texas getting in your way, but as I watched on the radar (at least until bedtime), they seemed like they were further west or further south.

    I can't post my pictures

Kim, I’m having the same problem trying to post pics from my phone and iPad. I haven’t tried from my computer lately.

I may boot it up later and see if it works?

A few of us have been discussing forming a private FB group for this bunch and Lisa did it yesterday.

I'm glad Lisa formed the private FB group, but you know, I am laughing at us all too....because all we need is one more FB group to keep up with. (grin) It will be a lot easier for us to chat with each other in a group that has less (okay, a lot less) than 10,000 members, so its all good.

If you're on your phones, see if you can view the website as a desk top site. Some times the mobile version doesn't work the same.

Can't believe my brother was fishing at the lake when we were there!

Forgot this cute one of Megan, because it was on my cell, not my Ipad!

Can someone invite me to the private group? If I get an invite, I missed it. I haven't been paying a lot of attention to social media this week.

Tears. This is going to take some time, huh.

We have to keep SF going.

Absolutely! I'll buy a gallon jug of purell to support the cause.

After talking to Tim, I feel it’s important we continue the tradition! She would have wanted is to!

Tim asked we include him by inviting him to any and all future events.

Oh I love that he feels that way, Bruce. Crying all over again. I am wondering . Thinking Chris and Jana will want to be part of this, too

He is such a sweet guy. He insists anyone coming tomorrow comes to the lunch at the fire department.

he was so serious there was no way I could say no
