Is the only difference the color?

I honestly don’t see the difference except for color and I am a simple girl I dislike all the roof angles that serve no purpose I guess that is why I love MCM nothing that was done for no reason just good design.

You're both correct, the only difference is the color. The roof angles actually all serve a purpose for the design of spaces within the home; in some cases it's a ceiling design or requested room height. Even the dormers are functional to provide natural light within the home. Seeing both sides of the coin, we certainly appreciate the appeal of simple design! In this case, our client was looking for more detail.

"style" implied that there should be differences in details. I'm not sure color makes much difference in "style," just a matter of preference.

While I like a well-detailed facade as much as the next person (and probably more than Patricia :-) ), there is such a thing as too much or unreasoned detail. My eye finds it overcomplicated and unbalanced. Especially the little "pop-up" shed dormer that reminds me a bit of an aging sportscar with only one headlight that still lifts.

But to each, his own.

I hope you can steer your client toward this authentic multi-gabled house.

All that facade in your photos is screaming flawed.
