We just brought our newborn home from the hospital. It is such a bundle of joy! As instructed, we fed it small amounts, five times a day for the first two days. But then we were called away for a couple of days and could not take the baby with us and had to let it fend for itself. We left a bowl of cereal on the table and some milk in the refrigerator. When we returned a couple of days later, our new baby seemed, well, like it was dying. Do you think our leaving it without life sustenance for two days -- really only a day and a half -- could have caused it to be doing so poorly now? I hope this doesn't mean we have to have it replaced!

As much as I appreciate the humor (which I really do, that made me lol)...so you're saying you think the lawn is actually in the process of dying and cannot be brought back?

It has become compromised .... not dead yet. I think you need to water it without fail, even one time until it "gets out of the woods" ... which means that it starts actively growing. New sod requires short, frequent waterings such that it never is allowed to dry (which can happen in a few short hours if it's hot and sunny.)
