Repotting gigantic phal

Someone asked me to repot her 3 orchids. Two were straightforward, but with the last one I don’t know what to do. It belonged to her grandfather, who passed away 20 years ago. It seems he had it for many years, so it is supposed to be 30 or 40 years old. It has not been repotted in I think more than 10 years. It was ”crawling” out of its large pot, and when I took it out, I found an enormous mass of roots, most of them alive. The plant has a long stem with aerial roots and stubs of old blooming stems, see second picture. It actually finished blooming recently, and there is a second stem with buds, but the plant was falling over all the time, so something had to be done. I am at a loss what to do with it. Trim the roots and put it back in the old pot? Get a bigger pot?
