I wouldn't be too worried... It probably just got out of dormancy and should start growing quicker. I'm not sure if it still gets cold at night in your area... I believe anything below 50F and the fig won't grow much.

Since last week, the growth and size has tripled... So just give yours some time... and with warmer weather it'll grow much quicker. My fig tree grows like a weed.

On another note, if you want to give your tree a little fertilizer next time you water, go for it. I'd go half dose for now... and than in a month give it a full feeding... By than it'll be big and it'll be warm.

Thank you for your answer! And thats probably it then- it has been swinging a bit temp-wise but a lot of nights have been in the 40’s still. Whew.

I have given it a little bit of diluted fertilizer every two weeks right now, but may up it a bit as now temps are getting in the 60’s at night.

i can’t wait to see it grow more! I’m hoping I might get some fruit this first year but we’ll see.

I think you'll get fruit off that tree this summer. Maybe 20-30. Just give it as much sun and warmth as you can.

It's probably growing a lot underground. And those leaves are getting bigger.
