The leaves do look like there is an issue. Have you had a soil test done at any point? That might tell you if your soil is lacking something or has an excess of something. Has anything been applied to the lawn recently either on your side of the fence or the other side of the fence?

I might consider taking a foliage sample and photos to your county cooperative extension to see what they have to suggest.

No the soil in this bed has never been tested, but that said, a variety of other plants have grown well. It may not have the best drainage; it is next to the driveway. We had a lot of rain when this problem occurred. I think I will get in touch with county extension and see what they think. They could do some soil testing too. Thank you for the suggestion.

The plant leaves do look chlorotic in the photo. Did you apply the ironite as a drench or did you spray it on the leaves? In my experience it works best to spray it on the leaves. How does it look now? If it still looks chlorotic I would give it some liquid fertilizer that includes micronutrients and add some Epsom salt to it. Use one tablespoon Epsom salt per gallon of water.

Epsom salts is just magnesium sulphate. It is not a magic elixir for plants and unless you have a magnesium deficiency, it is not going to do anything for the vine (Mg deficiency shows up more as mottling or interveinal/marginal yellowing rather than overall chlorosis). And other plants would show simaalr symptoms as well if Mg was lacking.

And chelated iron or ironite can work when sprayed on foliage but really works best if absorbed by the plant roots as with any other required plant nutrient. So use as a soil drench :-)
