Rug

How would you describe the print on the rug - southwestern? I am in the market for a rug that looks just like this (style, color, quality) and am having difficult finding/describing what I seek.

Thank you!

Hello- This rug is actually vintage or an antique. If I were to describe this type of rug, I would call it an Oriental and actually reminds me of the tribal rugs from the region that is now Iran. So technically, if it is from that region it could be referred to as a Persian rug. This style with the geometric patterns works very well in almost any style, including Southwestern. Hope that helps!

I don't know where you live, but I would start at rug dealer who handles antique rugs. If you take photos with you, they can hone in on the look, color and style you are after so much faster. I will also add that wear on a rug like this adds to its character, so don't dismiss it if you find one you love.

I have this exact rug in size 8x10, it’s one of my favorites. It’s authentic Persian with vegetable dye and has the same high quality wool as this one. Here’s my website to see it; www.theloomhouse.com - it’s under Antique Persian.
