I think it depends on your kitchen and what else is around all that sparkle. If you have a traditional colonial home, where you just updated the kitchen, then the sparkle might be out of place.

Same. I detest the marble look with those huge fake looking veins. Sparkle is better any day, but it does need to be house-appropriate.

I am not a huge fan of sparkly quartz counters, but that shouldn't matter much -- what matters is whether you like it. I would strongly recommend that you find someplace where you can view an entire slab to see if you like it -- looking at a small sample doesn't give you the big picture.

The only "sparkle" I want in my kitchen is being worn by me!!! Not a fan of sparkles in Formica or quartz.

Thank you so much for all your comments! The fact that I even had to ask, I now realize, reflects that I am just not in love with it. I needed reassurance the the sparkles would be okay. Instead, I received reassurance that I am not off-base to question the wisdom of installing it in my kitchen! It is almost the right thing -- but not quite. We are aiming for a French Country look (the white & light blue quartz went with our yellow/blue/white/natural maple wood color scheme) -- but that style does not include disco sparkles! Sigh. Back to the counter store I must go...

I have sparkly quartz (Cambria roxwell). I still love it 2 yrs later, and every single person who has come into my kitchen has raved about the counters.
