Option C is out, as it is not a good idea, functionally, to put a pull-out handle to one side.

In Option B, the handle will be set awkwardly just a little higher than the drawers to the left of it, making it look like a mistake.

In Option A, the handle will be offset enough from the drawer next to it, to look intentional.

Agree with NY Hardware ... Option B

None of my pulls are placed on the door/drawer frame, so why would I change that for the trash door only? Place the pull at same height as the drawer to the left of it.

I agree with B- do the same sort (obviously it can't be an exact match) of location as all the other pulls -- in the center panel.

ETA: Buehl's logic seems to make sense and is part of the reason why all my pulls are on the frame. But, when I think about it, my previous doors were thin slabs and held up for decades with the pulls attached to the slab, no frames.

Not worried about damage to the panel on good quality cabinets. I have large full extension drawers with pots and pans, another with dishes, and the pulls are all on the center panel. No difference for the trash cabinet.

It looks less like a mistake, because all the pulls visually line up across the kitchen. The line of pulls across the kitchen is what catches your eye, not the fact that it is a trash cabinet.

There is no right or wrong answer! I did knobs on my uppers because I don't tend to like the look of pulls on uppers for most kitchens. Others love the pulls on their uppers.

What size pulls are recommended for a trash pull out, and what size for a panel front dishwasher?

I like Option A too, what size pulls are on those drawers in the above picture?

@Stephanie Dilella The drawer on the left has 14" handles (outside to outside). For reference the drawer is 33" wide.

@Stephanie Dilella My trash pullout is 20 inches wide and it has a 6.5" handle. I think the general rule is to think in thirds. Your handle should be about one third of the width of your cabinet. Obviously you can't make it exactly one third. So sometimes you need to decide between smaller or larger than one third. For trash pull out, I'd probably go for a larger size (but not too large) if I had to choose.
