ammonia mixed with

I spray my hostas several times in the spring with ammonia and deer/animal repellent, also later i might give them a shot of liquid fertilizer. Wondering if it would be feasible to mix 2-3 ingredients together in the same spray? I thought the ammonia and repellent together but wonder if the ammonia would cancel out the repellent. Trying to kill 2 or 3 birds with one stone.

mix a small batch ... spray on some you dont care about ... observe ... report back ...

ps: if ammonia does effect such.. will vinegar do the same????

I think the ammonia would not be effected but the deer repellent being diluted would not be as strong on the leaves where it would be more effective (?) IMHO

Yeah, after thinking this through, I would have to dilute the repellent and it probably wouldn't be very effective. On the other hand, I have considered buying the repellent in concentrate, then it might be an option. I will try ammonia with some liquid fertilizer sometime.

One more question. Does anyone use the lemon scented ammonia? Lately the local DG store is all they have had. It is very sudsing which I don't like, makes it hard to mix.
