Tillandsia - Leaves curling

Good Morning. This past weekend I saved an air plant from Lowes. Not sure what kind it is. The whole thing is like a blush/mauve color. Its pretty big compared to a couple Ionathas I've had previously. Well, the leaves are curling upward. I've soaked this plant for a couple of hours this past weekend, put it in the shower for the humidity, dunked it this morning, and its not helping. I currently have it under a fluorescent light at my office. How do I fix this? I don't want it to die. I feel as though its not absorbing water. With all the water its had, I'm surprised it doesn't have root rot. (I hang it upside down to dry). Any suggestions on what I should do? TIA
