'Look what I just found'

Taking a trip thru Ohio in Youngstown at a local nursery. Called Petitti Garden Center in Boardman on South Ave.

First photo was an over grown Gold Hahnii. So full and heavy.

Same plant turned around.

Had to buy two. This one has a Solid Gold pup!

Another view.

And this was the one I purchased on Ebay for twice what I paid above. It survived so far for me.

Each one I just purchased has at least 4 to 6 pups each and at $5.49 each.

Soil is very peattie like but I am leaving it alone. I am keeping them together in a larger pot with just compost soil I have. Present pot is 4". Moving into a 6" pot.

I used to use about 1/3 compost, 1/3 grit, 1/3 perlite or something close. Changing to mostly compost and some perlite. My compost is home made of grass clipping and maple leaves composted for many years. It is black peat looking with no signs of bits of anything.
