If you get impatient, just stick that end in some soil, keep it reasonably moist for a week or so, then water as you would any other plant. See if it does better that way. I don't propagate my spider babies in water. I put them directly in soil. If It won't stay down in the soil, I make a little hairpin-shaped pin out of floral wire and use that kind of like a landscape pin to keep it down in the soil at the level I want it to be.

So I checked more online and I noticed my spiderette was missing those bulby endings at the base, so I assumed it didn't have enough time to develop on the mother plant, but I didn't want to just throw it away so as a last resource I put it in soil, and now it seems to be growing without any kind problem! I'm amazed just look at her!

It did lose all her original leaves but it's puttin on new leaves that are visibly growing by the day. So yeah I think she'll be fine ; w ; Just thought of updating because.
