I am new to this also, but that sounds like a good location.mason bees

i put mine on a fence post in my garden where i wanted them to pollinate; the house i used had an overhang. I mail ordered the mason bees, and taped the container of bees to the underside of the roof, and let them out. i did see a couple of the tubes filled with material, i dont know if that is the mason bees or another critter.
