I sympathize! I've shrunken my potting table to a series of little tables of wood or pressed wood that I find curbside. They rot fast, as you say. A found round mirror on top of a found metal stand has done well for years. So, I vote for glass and metal, since metal can be easily painted.

I have four of them in different sizes. I find them on Craigslist, usually Free. I powerwash them and then spray paint them and they look like new again.

I know you're in Florida, but those are not necessarily in season in the other states yet. I don't know how reactive your local stores are to the mainly summer for 9+ months of the year. You might wait a little while and see if they stock them later.

you can buy the small plastic tables at Dollar general here in Fl for $6. unless you're talking the bigger ones you eat at.

Only time I need a serious potting table is when I'm potting up my tomatoes and peppers. That's when I grab one of our folding tables from the garden shed.

We tend to use the same folding table, but we bought ours at Home Depot. Otherwise, I use a teak console table. Teak is expensive, but it does not rot when left outdoors - at least not here.

I found one last year out by the dumpster, cleaned it up and used it. I haven't seen any in stores lately, but everything like that has doubled in price lately. I'm pretty good at searching, but I couldn't find anything under $60.

Home Depot has some around 4tho July..... they may must also have them around Memorial Day... but you have to go to the STORE. I have never seen the online.

Try big lots and dollar stores. I got a metal mesh similar to the one posted at Lowes at big lots rather inexpensive.
