Mosaic virus, or...?

I have some dwarf French beans and tomato plant that I am afraid are showing signs of mosaic virus - the first photo is of french beans outside the greens house, and others are in a greenhouse.

if that’s the case, what should I do? Do I need to discard the plants AND the soil?

Did you harden the French beans off before planting out? It's still rather early for them to be outdoors. Inside the greenhouse it could be too hot when the sun shines. Do you ventilate? I can't see anything at all wrong with the tomato.

ruling out a cold event in z9 .. then it looks a bit like sunburn...

and i note.. in the first pic.. the new growth is unaffected ...so it seems to be an event back in time.. and not an ongoing problem ...

tomato look fine to me also ... and im not sure is see much of anything in the second pic.. other than a bit off color ... but i dont know if thats a camera trick on a cloudy day ... i would wait to see what the new growth looks like.. when it opens ...

Given that you're in London and the weather's improving steadily I'd get the beans out of the greenhouse altogether.

The tomato plants look OK to me--maybe just a touch of nutrient deficiency, since they're heading into a more demanding phase with lots of flowering and (hopefully) fruiting. If you haven't fertilized them recently with a decent fertilizer for fruiting veg, I'd give them a light dose and see whether that doesn't fix the very early stages of chlorosis I see there.
