I am in the minority here, but I would want my sinks to match in color. I would get a fireclay or cast iron sink instead- need not be the same sink- say an apron front- just the same color for me.

WRT to the Prolific sink, I helped a friend with a project and fell in love with the Franke Peak over the Prolific. I love the finish on the Franke. It has not been delivered to my friend yet, but it is a very sleek looking sink.

I think to have 2 such totally different sinks makes no sense and I honestly find all the accessories to be just a PITA.

You're suggesting two similar-sized but different-looking sinks. I'm a solid no. At best, it'll look like a start-up for a kitchen showroom.

Don't worry about being matchy-matchy. Customize your cleanup and prep zones with the sinks that will be the most functional and comfortable for you. Our clean up sink is a 36" cast iron farm sink under a focal point window. In the island across from our range top we have a 30" stainless prep sink with two ledges. The colander slides under the cutting board and neither is ever removed as they are used multiple times a day. Can't tell you how wonderful it is to keep mess contained in the sink, especially when we are cutting/serving messy items like watermelon or BBQ. Whether or not you go with the Prolific, I highly recommend a sink with ledges. Hands down, it is my favorite thing in the kitchen.

I have a Prolific as my sole sink (29" wide) and I love it. The only concern I would have is that yours is narrow enough that there isn't a lot of room for the accessories in the sink. Not a deal breaker, just need to think about how you will store the ones you won't use much (and that is likely to be a larger ratio than if you had the larger sink with room to slide a couple things to one side).

I am in the “two sinks being similar” camp. If this were a small bar sink within an island and stainless, then a main farmhouse sink in fire clay would work. But if they’re both working sinks in the same kitchen, I would match them.
