Good for Moonlit Masquerade for blooming early! Those irises are gorgeous!

Moonlit Masq really looks nice, gotta love those cheater scapes. Pretty iris! Mine are finished now. It seems to have been a good year for iris and peonies, I think they both lasted longer than usual. The peonies held up well too, despite winds and storms. Usually they just bloom and winds blow all the blooms off. I don't know why they held on this time.

I’m glad I took photos this morning! Mother Nature made a mess here.....1 3/4” of rain in twenty minutes and 1/2” to 1” hail. That bloom got shredded and a lot of my hosta look like chopped salad, sooooo disappointing. The two huge pines in my front yard earned their keep today, they saved a lot of my plants.

Moonlit Masquerade frequently had cheater scapes for us too. I'll take blooms any way I can get them. None of our cheaters have bloomed yet--maybe in a week or so.

Rain is bad enough but the hail can be devastating. The iris are lovely. I especially like the striped one.

Looking good. The bearded iris with the yellow and purple is so pretty. No scapes seen here either but they could be way down in all that foliage.

Moonlit Masquerade is a consistent rebloomer for me. Your early scape is probably one that started last summer or fall then didn't get going. I have a couple of rebloomers that will regularly do that.
