layering curtains- materials?

Hi

I want to layer curtains in my daughters bedroom. Some sheer ones for day time privacy and something heavier for night time. What materials would look nice together? I like linen, cotton, velvet..

Walls are light gray, wood floors, white furniture and dusty pinks and golds as accents. I might bring in some dark blues as well to ground it a bit.

Any ideas of materials that would work nicely?

    You'd have to outside mount it and lose the arch or you'd have to go custom to get a shade with an arched shape.

    Maybe nice sheer cafe's in linen or cotton with velvet curtains.
