Have a roman shade made for the window.

You can go either way. I would add rug also.

I like selectblinds.com for reasonably priced shades. They have a nice variety and are cheaper than places like Lowe’s or Costco. You just enter in your measurements once you choose a style and color. They’re also super easy to install. Attached is a pic of ours in our master. You can also get blackout shades if you like the room to be dark in the morning. Btw I like you lamps and nightstands. Good luck!

I like Sabrina's recommendation and if you hang curtains I would definitely hang your rod higher like in Sabrina's photo and hang 108" curtains.

I would do a Roman shade with drapery panels on the side so that the window appears wider than the bed.
