My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

My SDLM bloomed!!!!!!!

It was planted as a band last fall...I can't believe how beautiful it is!!!

    Pippa, SdlM is one of my favorite Bourbons, and your bloom is a great example of why gardeners still grow her all these years after her introduction. If that flower were in my garden, I'd pull up a lawn chair and park myself beside it day and night! Don't forget to stick your nose in her petals. If her scent is light at this point in her young life, know that it will get stronger and lovelier, just like her blooms, as she matures. Ingrid grows a drop dead gorgeous SdlM that positively dominates the forum year after year! I don't know if her greedy wild bunnies have overpruned her plant, but if not, maybe she'll be kind enough to post an image or two into your thread so you can imagine your young Bourbon as a full shrub. Sheila, don't you grow SdlM, too?

    Our Steelers, Ha, ha! I know that prayer! A number of years ago, I was determined to grow this rose in Portland in spite of our rain and spring humidity. I had quite a bit of success by placing SdlM under protective covers (in a bed under a tree, in a pot on the porch, etc.). If she balled early in the season, which she often did, I cut off her spoiled blooms (painful) and then waited for later flushes which arrived as expected in great fluffs of fragrant, blush loveliness.
