What beach kitchen?

If anything, I'd go more butter/cream and less lemon with the wall color and add some cute woven rugs.

What's your goal with the kitchen and what's the budget?

It all depends, what is your budget? What’s your preference in style? If my budget was pretty tight I would reface the cabinets or if you can change them paint walls, change countertop or do a DIY for it, change lighting. If you’re planning on doing a structural reno attach a rough draft of the floor plan.

There is no way to answer that without knowing the budget. Looking at it I would gut it and do new cabinets and counters that extend to slider. as well as make a banquet seat with pantry cabinets on each side on far wall of eating area. then new flooring, new appliances and new paint and lighting.

There’s nothing about this room that says Beach! What’s your budget?

If this is a vacation home you needn’t spend a lot of money to give it that “ cottage” look. Paint can go a long way in changing some of this as well as adding some glass doors to your upper cabinets. I would paint the dining set and all the wood trim. Colorful art ! This room needs a shot of whimsy!!

And please loose that light fixture;)!

This is the first floor. It’s just living room and kitchen in the back with half bath off the hall.

This is rough but I would replace appliances with stainless steel, new white quartz countertops, paint cabinets white, paint soffit light sea green as well as ceiling, replace flush ceiling fixture with modern track lighting for greater lighting in kitchen. Paint trim same color as white cabinets. Install sea glass colors backsplash. Make flooring lighter wood look and replace dining set or paint it light green from colors in backsplash. Replace light over table with modern drop fixture. Paint eating area same color as walls and ceiling in kitchen.

You don’t say if this is a secondary; vacation home. If so you may not want to spend that much on a complete reno. I don’t have a problem with your white appliances as they look to be in good condition. Painting the cabs will make a huge difference as will painting the woodwork! Adding lighter touches too; I added a distressed console to your dining area. You don’t need to buy new! Part of the charm of beach houses are hand me down or reused furniture that have been repurposed! Painting older pieces add real charm to beach houses! Your floor looks to be in good shape so add colorful rugs.

Personally, i would just update by adding a backsplash and different colour countertop , a darker countertop would really help kitchen cabinets stand out.

Other ideas: kitchen decor with colourful kitchen accessories , art work on wall infront of dining table and a rug to define dining space.

Add some special collections of fine china to the cabinet near table.

How beachy do you want to go? Over the top? Minimal?

Beachy doesn’t have to mean blue either! Nor does it mean you have to fill your home with goofy souvenir trinkets! It should look relaxed and comfortable; your on vacation!

Love the comments - I agree yes white appliances - not trinkets and such, but I like the beach towel white look [striped or otherwise] ... haha yes! I like your chandelier's simple look - warm though, to consider...

Chalk paint might be good. Yes to easy living, distressed finishes, casual rugs.

If your budget would pay for changing the doors to something in matching wood in a Shaker style, I would do that. Otherwise, I might paint them all a lighter color. Change the ceiling fixture, add some area rugs with a non-slip backing at entries. Beach places are casual.
Sand happens. The rugs could catch most of the sand, then get shaken outside as needed. Some cute beach art would add color.

You can develop a plan for the look and budget you have and do things a step at a time. If you plan on selling soon just painting cabinets with a form of chalk paint and woodwork plus changing lighting would really help.

Add a blue or aqua to kitchen & weaved rug in beige. Change light to wicker.

Seriously consider Corian or Wilson Art for the counters, big savings and perfect for a vacation home. Scrub the cabs and replace the hardware with easy to clean brushed stainless. Accessorize and paint with your fave color and you are done. If your budget is large, your options are many.
