Lovely. I bring mine in every winter and do get regular blooms. Mine bloomed late this year. As for the smell, wait a few days.

Generally if you fertilise them a lot they will flower more frequently. Without fertiliser they take a long time to build up enough reserves to flower. The same goes for most other Amorphs.

Mine bloomed this year again. 2-3 days of stink inside (too cold outside when she blooms). Corm is about 4 1/2" in diameter.

I dug one Konjac up and it bloomed in my basement this March.

I left one in the ground (first year) and seemed like there was the start of a flower this spring but it gave up at ground level because it was not very warm. My Venosum and Dracunculus plants bloomed weeks ago. My Dracunculus plants are actually looking tired and old before the Konjac started growing.

Now in mid June the Konjac is finally growing. I wondered if it survived the winter... but what is going on now? Seems like two main stems, one to the south and west of last year's stem, one more stem to the east and north. Then 4 more satellite babies, 6 total! What is going on underground? Should I leave them be or just leave the biggest? Or somewhere inbetween? Any advice? Ohio zone 5b/6aish

Okay, my Konjac appears to be sending runners out. Have 7 satellites around 2 main stems. I planted a baby in a pot from my the one I dug up, and now that baby has 2 runners coming up. Didn't realize they were so spreading. Amazing how much energy is stored in these tubers.
