A. konjac in my garden
I have had Konjac in my zone 7a garden for 13-14 years. I maintain it for it's uniue palm-like leaves and it's accent value against lower plants. It has been quite happy and multiplied to a nice clunp with several dozen plants but has never bloomed. I give it no fertilization at all and it annually grows to a leaf height of between 36-40 inches.
Possibly from our very mild winter and spring it has finally bloomed. Unexpectedly, I don't find it's odor as particularly offensive.
Has anyone else bloomed this as a garden plant in this or cooler zones?
