What a difference in the colors! No wonder I like that part of the evening when the sun is low but the mosquitoes aren’t out yet!

Ken you are right about the ‘big ugly wall’. That was the first thing I did after making this bed was put the trellis up (later 2 more), and plant clematis! It’s still a big ugly wall, but with a few little distractions lol.

Also amazing is what the rain can do.

Very nice. As for the wall, I have seen several ideas to take away from the bland walls by adding mirrors or different window frames to give the illusion of being open. It seems to be a nice private area in your retreat. My friend planted clematis by her tall fence and a couple ornamental birdhouses the birds are now using

Almost, that sounds like a fun idea for a plain ole wall, but this wall happens to be the side of my house LOL..with siding and windows above. It could be a great retreat area if it wasn’t sloped. My daughter would love that, as this is her favourite bed...and one of mine when the weeping Redbud is in bloom.
