Beautiful plants. Do you ever have issues with the crowding on those shelves?

If things become too crowded on a shelf, ... I'll move some plants around. My concept for this first floor shelf ... was that I would place blooming plants here as they cycled in and out of bloom.

I have a (partial) plant room upstairs, which houses the majority of my plants. Plants that cycle out of bloom can be moved to this room, though some plants in that room are blooming, as well. That room also houses leaf-starts, etc.

I do use fluorescent lighting for my plants, as well as window light. I will typically use inexpensive desk-lamps, floor lamps, clip-on lamps, etc. to supplement the window light.

I haven't hung fluorescent tubes since 2000, ... and I haven't wanted to shell out the bucks for a pre-made lighted cart/shelf ...

Aegis, did you not have Bob Serbin? I ordered one a few years ago from Bloomlovers. When it blossomed, it did not appear to be correct to me. I did some research and it sported to Aca's Pink Delight. I was told to just relabel the plant and enjoy it, which I have been doing. I did, however, take the plant to one of our AV society's meetings. John Brownlie was there, and I asked him to confirm that it was Aca's Pink Delight. He did confirm that, and I thoroughly enjoy the plant.

Beautiful display!

Bob Serbin was one of my first successful named violets. It had pretty good color, bloomed a lot, but grew with the leaves reaching for the sky. I haven't had it now for about 10 years.

Aegis, it is a nice looking plant, only mine decided to sport.

Since we're talking about Bob Serbin, here's a photo of mine. It grows beautifully for me, except that its flowers are a magnet for powdery mildew - very frustrating. So far, I seem to be controlling it with Lysol, although you have to be so careful to spray far enough away not do damage the flowers.

Your plant looks beautiful. Mine never looked that good ...
