Hello,

I brought home a new potted Washingtonia Robusta plant 2 days ago and it seemed very healthy. Soiled seemed dry so I gave it a thorough watering in my shower and let all the excess moisture run out the bottom of the pot before moving it onto my balcony where I intend to keep it for the summer. The temperature has been about 30 degrees celcius with 52% humidity today, a little less yesterday but still quite high. It's a north-west facing balcony and gets intense sun during the sunset.

I'm very new to palms so I really don't know what I'm doing or what is currently going wrong.

The oldest leaf has now yellowed quite a bit and all 4 leaves have "shrunk", like accordion style, inward. There is also some yellowing happening on one other leaf. (It's the two leaves on the right hand side in the photos.

I have not given it any water since that first water when I brought it home, and the top of the soil now seems to be dry already. I'm not sure if it's the heat, humidity, sun, soil, or amount of watering. Any insights as to how I can keep her healthy are very appreciated.
