The right color is Not Gray. Anything else will be better. A great green or blue would be nice with the wood.

Agreed, you're trying a trend that doesn't fit your bill. Also, the current wall color is going to reflect onto the samples, and daylight and shadows, so since green and blue make purple, anything with a blue tone will read purple in certain casts.

But to the point NO GRAY.

paint all the trim work eider white and then all the walls repose gray...cannot go wrong if you do that. Also I have used gray screen in a bathroom and it does have a slight purple tint.

Actually, the color you have in there is almost perfect with your wood trim. I would repaint, in a very similar color. You can still use gray in accessories.

Here is the Shell white, from SW, that Judy posted I think it might give you that bit of "gray" you were looking for. I would remove the Oak blinds to limit the oak overload in there.

Yes to no gray and an even bigger yes to removing those blinds. Your home is way too pretty for either.
