Polka Dot Plant Question

I have this polka dot plant, and it’s been doing great for the last few months. I took cuttings from it and propagated then successfully, and then suddenly it just started to droop. I’m not sure what happened. I watered it because it was dry, and it didn’t perk back up. I noticed a bunch of newer, small growth in the center, and I was wondering if I would be able to salvage it if I cut all the older growth off? Any advice/information is helpful and appreciated!
