It's a rush, most likely Juncus effusus. Not native but very widely naturalized.

Oh interesting! I wouldn't have thought the areas it's in were wet enough. That makes me think they're wetter under the surface than I thought they were.

Its a shame my really boggy area is in full shade or I'd move some over.

I also think that it's Juncus effusus. The plants that I see locally almost always have upright to rising stems, in shade or in full sun. Your plant looks like it is not receiving enough moisture. I've seen that species grow in fairly heavy shade, so think that it might do better if moved to your boggy area.

I'll have to wait til it rains again and sweet talk the hubby into digging it up. That soil is rock hard right now. I would love to get something going in the bog though!

J. effusus is usually more upright in habit, this may be another.
