Because it is raining again !!!!!!!!!!!!! Or maybe I should just say it is still raining . We actually got 2 days in a row ( yesterday and the day before ) that were sunny but we are back to rain again and not the nice gentle spring rains either . The leaving puddles on your lawn type of rain . None of the blooms on anything are lasting very long . They get beaten to death by the rain , and then give up the ghost.

It is so dark out there that I have to have both a kitchen and living room light on just to be able to see to move around the house . So frustrating . It is the 13th of June and I haven't even been able to plant my veggie garden yet. Finally got it rototilled in the last 2 days but wondering if it is even worth planting anything this year. Should have been planted in May. Farmers around here are only now getting into their fields to do whatever it is they need to do . Seems the heavy clay soil is either a blessing or a bane. All at the whim of Mother Nature .

I will admit my flower gardens are very full . lots of lush green growth but all this rain is playing havoc on the blooms . Longing for just a nice season for once.
