Slowly Recovering!

Not this past winter, but the year before it got much colder than anticipated, and the heat in my apartment wasn't working. It did in my serissa tree and it wasn't looking good for my meyer lemon. It lost a lot of leaves and there were lots of dead branches. But, it pulled through with a little new growth last summer. It didn't produce any fruit, but it did survive.

This summer I'm seeing flower buds! I just repotted it, and I'm cautiously optimistic. Maybe I'll get at least one lemon from it this year.

In its new pot. The leaves in the back aren't looking great, but I think that's because I moved and the tree was in a car for a pretty long time. Those leaves are on a pretty new branch, and I don't think the new growth handled the heat in the car very well. I'm hoping it'll bounce back now that it's in a set location and not stuck in my hot car anymore.

And some flower buds!

It's still a bit small and scrawny, not nearly back to the way it was before the winter with the broken heater just about killed it, but I think we're moving in the right direction
