At this stage it's too soon to determine if the fruit will mature. My fruits were good sized marbles and fell off due to June fruit drop. Extreme heat and many days of rain didn't help either. I would leave the fruits on just to see what happens.

Hi Dave. That is one beautiful plants. Where did you get it? At this rate, the only room I have is for smaller trees like that. I would get one in a heart beat. It it were mines, it would self prune itself and just drop what it can not support I left them alone for the fruit. But in my case, I don't eat the fruit so I just remove them letting the tree focus on growth.

Denise, what a rotten year for sun right? Not even enough sun for farmers here to grow corn just yet. My trees are a very rich green but stingy on fruit and flowering because of most days cool and cloudy and a few days of sunshine around here. It's been a terrible year for me for fruit and flowering but not for having to water and green growth. I can't decide which one I like better. A sunny hot dry summer, or a wet cool one that gives me let work and worrying to do. Ha. ()

Meyermike, I'll take overcast and rain down here during the summer as it keeps the temps down. I was really worried about all the rain, but the trees must love it because the majority of trees are showing lots of new growth. Right now we have sun and 90* which is miserable for man, beast and plants.

Guys, the pot is bigger than it looks due to camera parallax. I don't usually up-pot until the plant is clearly filling the container with roots and a few are starting to come out the drainage holes. This prevents overwatering. It's not ready to be potted up yet.

Dave, I just saw this. Wow that tree has grown! I’m not sure about leaving even one fruit because oroblanco are huge! I don’t think that little tree will be able to hold it up. I’m glad it’s done so well for you. My protists a slow grower (it’s from FW) so yours may be bigger than mine soon!
