50s House Exterior Paint

I'm hoping to paint my house in the next few weeks, but I'm not sure what to do. Originally I thought I would paint my house a solid color as I'm not a huge fan of the white portion, but it also seems to get rid of any character it might have. I'm also not a big fan of the shutters or non functional shutters in general, but it looks pretty blank without them.

Is there an argument for keeping the white, or a reason to paint it a solid color? Any preference on the photos attached or new ideas? I would really appreciate any thoughts as I'm feeling a little lost on what would work best. Thanks for any help! :)

I like the two-tone with shutters as it gives the house depth and interest.

I believe the actual house is labeled "original."

I would absolutely paint it all the same color--that siding installation is completely bizarre. No shutters. And paint the downspout the same color as the house so that it disappears.

Is the white part stucco? It would be cool if the whole house was stuccoed.

You can go with a new door color (paint storm door the same color as front door), plan for new handrails and work on landscaping.

A new mailbox and address plaque. You could go with an MCM vibe here given the low roof-line.

Thanks for the replies. Yes, the actual house is labeled original in the top left.

Anna... the white part is not stucco, but just plain wood. I kind of wish it was. Thanks for the tip on the downspout, I will definitely paint that to match.

Solid, no shutters. Shutters are totally wrong for that house. And then landscape.
