So you have not posted a photo of Mamas Egg Pie before? Cause someone in this forum or another i lurk, has shown it recently. I had never seen it before. I don't have a lot of doubles, i don't normally like them, but found this one attractive for some reason. Maybe as much for the name. Entwined in the Vine and Fried Green Tomatoes are the ones that really grabbed my eye today, although nothing unusual about ETIV

Your Wheel of Time looks good on rebloom. Nice pattern in the eye! I don't think mine gets enough sun to rebloom. The El Desperado clump is blooming its little heart out, and Truly Angelic is such a cutie. But my favorite is that outstanding Entwined clump.

Nancy, I think I posted the first photo the other day, but it was at end of a very sunny day. Sherry anything that hardy can survive disaster, so I will find a place for it. Lots of blooms still and EITV is still a winner. I don’t think my Citrix has ever rebloomed and how strange is that? Wheel of Time is a pretty thing and I love that red clematis!!

That is different, Kate since it reblooms every year here. EITV has been a wonderful plant...it makes me worry that next year will be a down year...I had that red clematis once before in a horrendous place and it died this time, prime real estate! Admittedly, this is Wheel Of Time's best year ever...curious...and I found my old notes, that bright little red that showed up after several years when I trimmed the tree and gave it som sun for a change? It was Fiery Temper.

I too bought a Rebecca, for a friend's garden. Hope it does well, as it is more red than Niobe. El Desperado looks good, but here it tends to be a cropper.

I also hope Rebecca does well in your friends garden...You are very right it is much more red than Niobe which is also a beauty, of course. I am sure that you planted it in a good site. El Desperado has always done well here, but I think I need to divide it as it is not making so nice a presentation as before, but blooms all around the edges. I have to do this will several long lived plants this year.

I think I've lost Clematis Rebecca here after having it for several years. Not sure what happened. I miss that lovely red color. I did see your email on LLLD just got tied up trying to get things done before our day of rain today. Webster Pink Wonder is so pretty.

Oh, that is a shame, Julia. Rebecca is such a pretty red one, and I am so pleased to have it again. You have to get ahead of rain, for sure. We are supposed to have some and my gardening had gotten behind while I was ill. I did get some good work in yesterday. We actually had a shower and it was sprinkling when I took photos this morning. We do need a rain. I do like Webster Pink wonder...The blooms are huge and it is a parent to a lot plants that I like.

Kay: I just looked up the "kids" from WPW. When I first saw your pic it reminded me of Pretty Desirable and I see it is a WPW kid as is Boss Lady which I also grow here.

No garden work here for the next couple of days as rain will be on and off with Thursday being predicted as a big soaker day.

Kay, I think any daylily that spend the winter in a dishpan and then blooms deserves a place in the garden. My favorites today are the first three. I wonder if there really is a great aunt Picklebottom. What a name! Nonetheless, it is a beautiful daylily. I am putting Entwined in the Vine on my want list for next season. Such a lovely bloom! Fried Green Tomatoes has such a lovely green throat!

Julia, we need rain, hope we get it, but just rain....no trouble as they are threatening. I think WPW is used in a lot of UFs...I noticed Whip city has a number, and the ones you have mentioned...Davisson may have used it for others...And it is pretty on its own. Thanks Brad. I have always liked that one. Nancy, I agree it is a lot prettier than I expected it to be. It is supposed to be 40 inches and the bloom seven. Definitely it is hardy. We had some hard freezes and it survived and has a fantastic root system! It was too good a story not to share.
