Probably still root rot, just not complete

No idea what it's , but I've had two that did that. The shoots looked fine, but eventually they rotted and fell off. The first hosta died. This year Crocodile Socks did the same thing. It has a tiny leaf on one side, but I think it's not going to make it. The roots on the first one looked fine, Sorry I can't give you a better answer.

More often than not this is root rot and needs treating or you will lose the plant.

if you already dug it up .. whats left to do ... patience ....

if bruce were still around.. grhs... he would probably do a bleach dunk ... of which i have never done ..

if it were me.. i might beat it on a tree.. and throw it on the driveway for good measure ... and then replant it ... [and btw... bruce introduced me to beating them on trees... lol...]
