Pumpkin vines will grow new roots if buried lightly. You could also bury it the vine - not where it is damaged because that may introduce disease, but immediately below the damage. Even if it doesn't heal it may grow new roots to feed the developing fruit.

Thank you! I’ll try to see if this makes it it’s climbing its way over the rock ledge of garden so it can’t put roots down but it’s almost over to where it can. The part that’s torn is kind of wilted but it seems like the whole plants wilts a bit in the middle of the day until sun goes down. I’m just hoping it springs up since I don’t think it’s that bad of a tear. If it doesn’t make it I’m going to cut it off and hope the secondary vine will continue on.

Sounds good. I'm sure if you cut off the vine the secondary will shoot forward and the plant will put all its energy into growing. Either way it should be a good thing.
