Google poultice for honed granite. There will be multiple poultices given and you may need to try multiple. But I would push back to have them remedy the stains as anything you do to the finish may result in them pushing back on anything that you may need waranteed as the last person to touch it typlically owns it. You may want to post a pic here as the others may have advice on your particular stain.

To add to Joseph's comments, if the paint is still actually on the granite, try scraping with a razor blade. But if the painter did try a solvent and your granite has dye in it, you may not have many options unfortunately. Good luck

Did you hire the painter or did the GC? If GC, then go back to him to fix it until you are happy and if not, then I'd call the fabricator and see what can be done. Once you start to try and fix it on your own you've taken ownership of it. Good luck.

Hi all! Thanks for the suggestions. I’ve tried to post a pic several times and it won’t upload. I was going to try a poultice but figured it would be useless since they sealed the granite. I did scrape the excess paint when I first saw it but the stain was still there. The GC has hired all subcontractors. The granite fixers buffed down one scratch to the point where you can see a depression in the stone. I’m hesitant to have them come back out because I don’t want the stone further buffed/marred.

I'd put this back on the GC and also show him the depression in the stone that was recently added to the problem. Talk to him and tell him you didn't pay for a damaged piece and that is what the people that he hired has done to it. And if he can't get it back to new condition than your expectation will be that he replaces it at no cost to you. And you shouldn't get in his way of however he wants to try and fix it, even if that means bringing back the granite fixers as this is his problem to deal with. I hope you haven't paid the GC in full yet...

We are holding final install payment for this very reason. Also they did structural work on our house, removed the living room ceiling (without approval/unexpectedly) and did not reinsulate the ceiling after. It isn’t too much to expect them to put insulation in is it?

That doesn't look like spilled paint to me. The edges are too crisp. You could try some of this, but no guarantees.
