Tomato Fruit Worm Infestation

I've been growing Tomatoes for several years and am seeing this pest for the first time. The worm looks like what I've known before now as the Corn Silk Worm; maybe be it's the same. Regardless, 90% of my fruit has been impacted. Pencil sized borings in the fruit. The fruit ferments and has a foul smell.

I check on my Tomatoes daily and can't believe this problem progressed to this level without me catching it earlier.

What's a gardener to do?

TIA
