Pompon Veranda (Pashmina)

Pompon Veranda (KO 99/1720-02/KORfloci05/Pashmina/Pompon Flower Circus), a floribunda rose, bred by Kordes (Germany, 1999) and introduced in 2010 (Germany). I love the look of this rose’s blooms and have waited a few years before Palatine Roses had it available again last year. It's still a young plant in my garden, and I can't wait when it reaches its full potential. Helen

It has such a vintage romantic look to it. Just gorgeous! I saw this on Palatine's site, of course it sold out. But I remember reading the warning it had about balling. But for a rose that pretty; I would chance it!

It has such an old-rose look to it, as does erasmus' Cinderella; they are both magical roses.

    Thanks everyone.

Vaporvac, I'm thinking the same, too.

Totoro, it looks similar to Eden but I think it looks even better than Eden with more petals and unique shape and colors. I don't detect any fragrance.

    HalloBlondie, agree completely.

    Eramus, beautiful photos of Cinderella.

Summer, please share their pics when they blooms. How many roses do you have in your garden now? Maybe 2,000? I remember you ordered many rose trees, it must be beautiful when they are in bloom. Helen

Wow I love both of these roses!

Anyone know how big Cinderella would get in a warm climate?

Bayarea_girl: How is pompon Veranda doing for you as far as remblooming? Would you describe it as a prolific bloomer?

I adore my Eden Roses but do wish they had more than just 2-3 bloom flushes. So I’m wondering how pompon veranda compares when it comes to repeat blooms throughout the season.

I’m in zone 10b coastal Southern California.

But isn't a pompom veranda where cheerleaders go to practice?

That large pink center with nearly white outer petals so close around it does seem special.

I read somewhere that Kordes discontinued this rose, and it’s not on their website. Anyone know more?

@Ann-SoCalZ10b SunStZ22 I agree that Eden doesn't repeat as fast as other roses. That is the reason I had 3 Eden as a privacy screen and now I have only one. I keep one Eden because it's beautiful. However, I gave away the other two to make room for quicker repeating roses because my garden is small. Pompon Veranda repeats very well. However, they are different roses and serve different purposes. Eden is a tall climber in my zone while Pompon Veranda is a short bush.

@noseometer...(7A, SZ10, Albuquerque) From what I know, US gardeners can only buy Pompon Veranda from PalatineRoses. Helen

Freedom Garden sometimes has this Rose in stock own root. He recently had it but it's sold out and is now available for custom propagation. That can take a while though.

Bayarea Girl: for your privacy screen what did you replace your Eden’s with?
