Rhododendrons appear to be dying

We planted three rhododendrons in our front yard last year. they were very healthy the first year, and survived a severe winter with little damage. They bloomed this spring, and were starting vigorous new growth, and then started getting wilted leaves. Now there are whole limbs dead, and the one on the right and in the second picture has had at least half of its limbs die. We had a cold wet spring, and the rain didn't let up until about a week ago, so I'm suspecting it may be some kind of disease or fungus brought on by the weather. Any ideas out there? We're in NE Indiana, zone 5.
