Is this a Jackmanii Clematis

I bought 2 Jackmanii Clematis this spring. One of them has it's first bloom on it but it doesn't look like what I thought a Jackmanii. Here is a photo of it.

I'm not really upset because it looks like a beautiful clematis but it doesn't look like what I expected. If it's not a Jackmanii and you can ID it please let me know. I would just like to know what I have. Thank you for your help.

Hello ! I think it is nelly moser perhaps . A common clematis sold in spring . Did you buy the clematis in a bag ? I usually see both those offered

I did buy it in a bag. I don't usually do that but I don't have that many clematis and had heard of Jackmanii. My husband had put up a greenhouse for me so I decided to attempt growing one of the bag ones. Usually they are dead before I can plant them outside.

It’s still a beautiful clematis ! Keep looking for Jackmanii , it blooms a long time and is so nice . I prefer to buy mine in bloom , though it is more expensive. Sometimes tags get mixed up and there’s nothing worse than a wrong plant when you chose colors !

this bloom has only 6 petals. I have another one that has 8 petals. I thought Nelly Moser had 8 petals. I bought the 8 petaled one a few years ago and it was marked nelly moser.Can Nelly Moser have both 6 and 8 petals?

Pictures show it with 7. However first or early season efforts of large-flowered hybrid clematis plants can be underdeveloped. For instance double-flowered kinds can be seen producing single flowers.

Otherwise yours is just another variety with striped flowers, besides 'Nelly Moser'.
