Only two new ones opened today:

INCENDIARY: Does anyone get a bud count higher than 9 on this plant? I like the face, but the scape is a telephone poll.

BALLERINA ON ICE: A nice one. Good plant to hybridize with.

I don't like upfacing blooms on tall scapes, but exceptions can be made. Is this what you are referring to? (I don't grow Incendiary.)

Incendiary did not do that well here this year. The bed it is in is getting taken over by Dutchman pipe vine and Incendiary is in the midst of it. I am waiting for blooms to finish before clea ing it up. I have in my notes it got between 11 and 16 buds last year, but I I feel most scapes were closer to the 11 than 16. I do like Incendiary though, and the clump is large enough I don't really notice fewer blooms. I do like Ballerina on Ice.
