I’ve recently moved into a new home and have furnished most rooms but I’m stuck on the dining room. It’s the first room you see when you enter the house so I want it to have a “wow” factor. I like the look of a dark farmhouse table with light chairs but I’m struggling to find exactly what would work. I need chairs that can withstand 2 young kids with messy hands- so likely leather or wood. I considered white leather chairs but am concerned they will disappear with the walls. Also looking for something to hang on the long wall to pull it all together. Last- what is the rule on how big of a table you should fit into a space? (How much room should you leave on either side?) Any advice appreciated!
