Hi all. I purchased a Rosa Setigera last fall. At the time, it was more or less dormant...no growth on the plant.

I live in NYC which is considered Zone 6 (though I think the NYC area has since been divided up to have a Zone 6a and 6b...I'm just not sure which I am, nor if it makes that much difference....) Anyway, this Spring, maybe around early/mid-May, it had very few tiny leaves on each stem. Then perhaps around early June, I began to see more growth, and over the past few weeks (between hot temps and lots of rain), the plant has really taken off. Yet, thus far, no flowers or any sign of flower buds.

Should I be worried? And is there some type of special fertilizer ...or a certain soil amendment...that such a plant may need, in order to promote flowering? The plant is currently in Full Sun.
